You just got an A+ in music tastes. I love most music but industrial is one of my favorites. Although if you ask me to mention names of songs, I suck balls. Just like how I can't remember any actors names in movies except the ones that seemed to be shoved in my face one way or another in constant conversations with friends, I cant remember the names of most songs from bands I like (with the exception of a couple </tear>)

i'm generally pretty good with remembering song names, but it depends on the artist. with muse, for instance, i can't remember half of their song titles, but i've been a fan of them forever.
with stuff like, i dunno, covenant? i can probably name any of their songs just from hearing the first few notes. and i haven't known of them for as long as i've known of muse. just the way things are, i guess.
there are so many artists in the industrial world, and several one-hit wonders, too. i have trouble keeping track of them sometimes! i generally prefer lighter stuff, ebm and futurepop and whatnot, but i do enjoy combichrist. covenant is probs my favorite in the genre, but i also enjoy assemblage 23 and apoptygma berzerk (or at least their older-ish stuff).
and i listen to digital gunfire pretty regularly, so i guess anything they play on there also qualifies, haha.

I like muse but I can't remember their songs either, some I recognize but yeah. I know a few one hit wonders, I listen to them and I think I found a new great band to love and then I'm slapped in the face with horrible bullshit lol. Like Blutengel for example, I like maybe like one or two of their songs that I could never stop listening to and then the rest is like... wtf. That could just be my opinion but geez lol.

i think i just have a huge soft spot for synthesizers in general. all kinds of electronic music can catch my interest, really, but with some types it just doesn't grab me so much and i only really get attached to one or two songs or artists in the genre. i've never really been one for hardcore (as in happy hardcore), for example, and as far as artists go, "popular" ones like cascada really grate on my eardrums. and don't even get me started on half the shit people find on limewire and spam all over youtube.

I'm replying a month late because I suck at keeping up with anything in my life including simple things such as this. BUT ANYWAY.
LMAO happy hardcore, I can actually stand SOME happy hardcore but I have to be in a certain mood, and it has to have a certain beat/tone to it. I always find songs I like in any genre, even genres I hate. LOL I used to go apeshit for cascada a few years back, now I can't stand listening to most of her songs. I think it also has to do with how fucking CORNY the lyrics are. Just can't take it seriously.
At some point when I was a pre teen I listened to Linkin Park (WHAT THE) I know what people think when they hear Linkin Park and I hate to say I think it too. But mostly it's because of the lyrics. Those fucking lyrics man, lmao, I just can't take them seriously enough to enjoy the music, which imo sounds pretty good. I like the way they sound, if only I wasn't too busy trying not to laugh when the lyrics come up. Perhaps the internet just tainted me and the lyrics aren't that bad, but either... hahahah!
