Hanyin was once an everyday little girl, until she stumbled across a sacred shrine in a waterfall cavern while exploring a local forest at 10 years old. How she'd never seen this before was a mystery to her, but she was fascinated. What stood out the most, of course, was the large dragon statue at the back of the cavern. When she reached out and touched the statue, it began to glow, and the next thing she knew, she was hearing a voice telling her she'd been chosen for protection and great power. She now had a highly detailed dragon tattoo wrapping around her arm, and she soon learned this was Shouhu-Long, the dragon spirit that had been in the statue. He encouraged her to learn to fight and gain strength, as doing so would raise his strength as well, and she figured the best thing to do would be taking up dragon-style kung fu. Three years later, she's become a very skilled martial artist, turning out to be quite the kung fu prodigy, and just in time too--Shouhu-Long has been warning her of a great threat to the entire world, urging her to do her part and combat this threat. In return, he'll loyally protect her as always.
