Rural cyberpunk would be pretty cool. Injecting your seeds with glowy goo that supercharges their growth, installing hovering drones with tiny laser turrets that zap away pests, watching your cyberdog chase away the coyotes~

I feel like the current situation with modern farm equipment and the heavy commercialization of farming is already doing the worst parts of country cyberpunk. My dad worked on the family farm as a kid, and I know my generation's 'farm stories' aren't going to be half as fun - for the few remaining who will have any. Not that I love child labor or think everyone needs to be put through those sorts of rough and tumble upbringings, but it does feel like a certain piece of American life that's being paved over by the corpos.

But I mean, that's just cyberpunk, ain't it! They'll smooth out all those unsightly lumps with their big slabs of metal with cool rivets on them, and slap some advertising over it~

Wouldn't that be something like Mega Fluid Corporation by Lunacast?
