Looks like a carnation to me. I like the photo. :) If you want to look for other flowers which have a lot of layers, they are usually called "double" or "peony". Peony is a flower in it's own right, but the word is used as a modifier for other flowers, such as peony poppies and peony-flowered tulips. English roses are another type of flower known for having many many layers of petals. Chrysanthemums also, and I saw a double shasta the other day called "showstopper" which was just bred recently. Daffodils, lilies, clematis, helleborus, and many other types of flowers have lovely double varieties.

I am not usually a big Macro photographer but I will definitely look into those flowers. I really enjoyed taking a picture of this flower.
