Why can't the GIF format move...

Does anyone know how to send animated files on fa?

you sure its a .gif? i remember sometimes having that problem, and it turning out i was trying to upload something entirely differently

it's my first time use fa to upload animation ,maybe l lost something important things...

There should be a button under the image that says "change submission file". Try selecting that and reuploading the file.

It's likely FA compressed it and made it no longer an animation, this process gets around that.

I found that my picture format exceeded 1280. Now I can upload it when I turn it down.

You are not required to adhere to that restriction when resubmitting. This is a weird workaround based on a bug in the site's design. Exploiting it has been previously acknowledged and legitimized by site admins. I assume the old resolution restrictions are still in place for initial uploads for spam-related reasons? Or maybe because attempting to fix it would be more trouble than it was worth to them.

I think so. Maybe gifs work differently than normal images. You should be able to select "change submission file" under this image and if you select the original file again it will upload it at full resolution. This should fix the animation as well, I believe.

There is no "change submission file" setting under my image，I'd better make the image smaller🤣

Oh, if you're using the "modern" site theme then it is on the right side under "submission options" and it instead says "update source file".

This button is also not available in the upload settings，I can't find it.
