Good morning guys, Happy Holy Epiphany Day if you celebrate it.
Sorry for the delay of this spotlight, but I hope the one fighter we get to you today more than makes up for it.
For here's today's interviewed, Helvira Manaus.
For Helvira is not only a very competent martial artist in her own right, using her Kenpo and Sampa style; a style focused on putting the opponent's strength against them and redirect it back at them at full efficiency, she is also...was also an army brat, deployed in the Wale (the country of her origin) army forces and then in several war locations around the world, and caused her to be commended on her strategic thinking and quick reflexes, until a scandal of corruption caused her to change her application...something we personally could not be happier she done so...personally.
In any case, Helvira made a killing...of a different type now in the ring with her precise striking, that still manages to pack a wallop, based on the advanced levels of testosterone she has in her body, because the maned lioness manages to be as powerful as a male lion, and as speedy as a female lion.
Because as we all know, female lions are meant for hunting, male lions are meant for fighting, she is the best of two worlds!
For now as you all know, from here till the end of the month ASK HELVIRA MANAUS ANYTHING!!!

Helvira: A few factors, actually. I was the youngest of four whelps, and I didn't really get along with my siblings, beyond the normal 'elder kids picking on youngest'. That seemed to transcribe to school as well, especially older when my mutated gene started showing itself more prominently. Everyone who picked on me was bigger than I was. My parents didn't have the money for the prestigious karate schools but one of them was visited by my favorite Danger Ranger, Jason Robert Jenkins, you know from that silly superhero team. Anyway, I was excited to meet him, he actually taught my first class, and than was Kenpo. It was never meant to be offensive, it was to train us to get out of fights and survive only but when I started protecting myself proper I never really had the luxury to just disable and run away.
As I got bigger, I started fighting back and scraped some money from my would-be-bullies and found something else to mix in. Got arrested twice for fighting, juvie was rough, but I wasn't deterred. Then, at my earliest chance, I joined the army. Aptitude test through the roof, got to pick what I wanted, chose special operations, instead of forcing me to unlearn everything they added onto what I knew and turned it into a lethal fighting style that was no longer just one style but a mix. Once I became a civvie again, I had to...unlearn the lethal habits if I was to be a cop, and then a ring fighter so it's back to the more recognizable Kenpo and Sampa.

Jack: Rough upbringing, at leasr this proves that you are a fighter, girl, keep it up! Also bullying bullies of their money is top chad move, I approve.
Jackie: So, they say love blooms in the battlefield, you found or hope to find the love of your life in the battlefield or in the ring?

Helvira: Haha, yeah. Honestly, I regret those days. Bullying is wrong in all its forms and I think at one point I'll go home and apologize to all of them personally, if I can find them. I was just...young and full of anger and testosterone that I needed an outlet...but I should've found a better outlet. Still, it made me who I am today so make of that what you will.
Love? What's that? Is it something you eat? In all seriousness, I never really looked. Never seemed like a good time. Nobody I liked at school, never really had a chance in the military. Plenty of flings, nothing real. I get back here and now I'm...older. It feels weird. I think I find someone I'd be willing to pursue, and the next week I find a ring on their finger that wasn't there before and it...hurts. And I'm not doing those dating app things because now I have the sexfighter popularity, I'd never know what's legit and what's some hotblood wanting pics and a story, you know? Maybe it'll happen, maybe not. Definitely open to the prospect, but it has to be right.

Helvira: I've been getting questions about best, biggest, toughest and I could probably use any I used before but I think the one that felt like the most...important...so far was against Giulius. For those who may or may not know, I'm not a sexfighter. I'm learning, getting better, but it's an entirely different mindset from what I'm used to and it's hard to resist...advances when you're not really trained for it. You go for a blow, they go for a grope, you go for a grope, they go for a suckerpunch. It's a new strategy I'm still wrapping my mind around. So an actual sexfight with lion arguably stronger than me and more resilient than me was looking to be a rout but I managed to pull an upset. My first sexfight win. Shows that I'm improving and can start to tussle in that department as well.
Biggest defeat. Ho boy, I plead the fifth. Heh, just kidding. It'd either be against Gruff or Matilda. Tough call. Matilda was just, everything I couldn't handle. I can use an opponent's strength against them, but she's one of those that was just...too big, too strong. It took too much energy to deflect her blows, too much energy to redirect her body where I needed it. I switched my strategy twice to beat her, go for critical blows at weakpoints and pressure points...and that did next to nothing and got me more pain than I was dishing out, and then trying to repeatedly hit a limb to disable it didn't work because she caught my hands and...well, that was that. She threw me around the ring like a ragdoll to the point she wasn't being serious anymore and she was toying with me. Hard to learn something from that fight beyond...don't accept fights you can't win, or don't just do what you've always done because it worked before.
As for Gruff, he was my first heel. Well, first real heel. Had someone bring in a partner to hold me down while I got punched repeatedly but that's different. I'm so used to straight on fights that rulebreaking throws off my game. It makes me angry, and angry makes me reckless. Ladies don't have balls like the boys, but getting kicked or punched there still *hurts* to the point you want to puke, and by the time you recover...well, they're on you like white on rice. He took advantage of me being stunned to grab handcuffs, likely knew I was a cop before joining NSFW, and then cracked my pelvis with a baseball bat. I was in a hospital bed for two months after that. Sometimes it's worth being the heel to other heels, but getting angry in a fight...never works out in your favor unless you're a goliath of a fighter.

Helvira: Bountiful is definitely a word for it. I try not to think too far into the future, plans change, life hits you with a surprise hook. I've never been one for money and fame, they're nice as a bonus but not a reason for living. I had my knocks, I did my service, now I'm here to have fun and help out if I can. As a fighter, I want fun matches. Unique matches. Things that test my limits. Free for all, king of the ring, maybe some mudwrestling, things you don't get to do often and the audience doesn't get to see.
As for afterwards? Retirement? Might get enough for a cabin on a lake, maybe someone to settle with, raise a kid or two, travel the world...I did that before but not really on my terms. It'd be nice to relax a bit.

Sasaran: So, first of all, thank you for the two wonderful matches, deary, I enjoyed both of them immensly, so I wanted to ask you that, on scale of 1/10 how would you rate them both of them aand subsequent question, how you felt that you managed to beat a seasoned boxer in his element? Hope everything runs OK with your life anyhow and we manage to share glove time together.
Helvira: I bet you enjoyed one a bit more than the other *snort*. Our boxing match I'd have to say was a solid 9. It was good, clean, tough and beautiful atmosphere with a beautiful opponent, it just felt so...pure. As for how it felt? Like a big relief, like a big test in school you study and study for but it's still a rough test, then you find out you eked out an A and you can relax and enjoy it for a little, and I did enjoy it...and you.
As for the second match, hard to say. It wasn't a match, not for me. You had your plan to get revenge on me early and you both exploited your strengths and my weaknesses. Haven't felt so helpless in a while. I feel as if I'd expected it I could've done better but I'm a little salty about it. I was out early and thrown to the side while I watched you two fight for dominance. Suppose it's fair, you got a taste of me in our first match and I got a taste of you the second.

Helvira: The respectful kind. So many arrogant and haughty types it's refreshing to face someone who's just polite and fun to tangle with. I'm sure that's not what you're really asking though, so...I'd have to say the technical kind. The kind where a match can go several minutes without either side landing a blow, the kind your mind has to work faster than your reflexes. Not often you have to evolve tactics every few blows in a one-on-one, usually it's every round when you have time to analyze your mistakes. It's exhilerating.
Helvira: That's a tough series of questions. I can't claim to know everyone in N.S.F.W. so there's plenty I actually want to face in the ring, but of the fighters I've seen around I've yet to tango with Matteo. He's got experience and skill and his fighting style seems like it'd be fun to try and deal with...among other things.
Favorite fight I've won? Would have to be against Sasaran. I'm more an MMA fighter, not a boxer, so having a boxing match against a professional boxer was rough, it's like fighting blindfolded, without a key part of your arsenal...but it wasn't so much the fight but *where* it was, a picturesque outside arena, almost like fighting in a garden. It was quiet and private, minus the cameras of course. I still remember the full-body ache after that fight, and the fun time after it, but that match seemed to put me on the N.S.F.W. map and got me plenty of more fights afterwards so it felt like such a big accomplishment.
Biggest rival? I'd have to say Ivanna. She doesn't talk much, don't know where she was trained, but she's good. No matter how you plan to fight her, it's always a gamble. We've tango'd a few times and neither have come with a consistent win streak. I feel like I have to keep improving otherwise she'll rocket ahead of me, but the victories against her feel well-earned and the losses are super close so I don't mind...most of the time. Just wish she'd open up a bit more.

Helvira: Well, that are two different answers, love. In the military there was this guy, an Australian shark in Egypt...I know, surprising, and I can't say too much because some details are classified, but we ended up trying to kill each other. You might've heard of it on the news, oil explosions and terrorism, gunfire in the streets, civilians running. We were in the thick of it. He blended in perfectly with the desert sands and the sandstone buildings. I've been in gunfights before and since, but none like this. This was a game of cat and mouse, if you'll excuse the expression. Through alleyways, in and out of buildings, fighting along rooftops, smoke bombs, flashbangs, using mirrors...every trick in the book. We ran out of ammo and eventually crashed into each other on a balcony. No weapons, just combat knives and whatever we could grab. Lot of close calls but I wore him down finally, but in a last ditch effort he tackled me off the balcony and we fell three whole stories...into a community pool. That was nearly it for me, as he was the better swimmer and he could breathe underwater. He went to bite my throat, we had nothing left, but I got my hand in the way and my free hand dug into his...well, I pulled us both from the water where he got locked up. Felt like I aged twenty years in that one fight alone.
In N.S.F.W? I'd have to say Spice Seagoat. One of my introductions to actual fighting here, and it's one to remember. My first tournament. Planned to go far, and I went out in the first match. If I had the chance to study him I feel I would've won but I could tell he was also military, it's just something you recognize after a while. He reminded me of that fight in Egypt, but I was new and was inadvertantly holding back. I'm used to swift kills, even with fists, and I was avoiding the critical blows...turns out he could've taken 'em anyway. I'm not making excuses, I lost fair and square...well, that and his groin shots and that damn jalapeno mist or whatever it was. I threw everything I could at him at the end, but he had just a bit more stamina at the end, I couldn't move, my body felt like it was hit by a Mac truck and sat on by a giant. Won't make those mistakes again, but even so he was a tough bastard.

Helvira: I wouldn't mind going a few rounds with you, hon. Seen your matches, bet it'd be...steamy. Outside of that, there are a few exotic newcomers I'd like to test out and break in, but names escape me at the moment. Zariah looks like a spitfire, Rakesh has been hovering around my news feed and...honestly, Midnight looks like a fun mountain to tackle...in more ways than one.
Seriously though, hit me up for a few rounds. Could be serious, or lighthearted, I don't bite...hard.

Helvira: In the army it was pounded into our head that any weakness in any part of our body could be lethal if it gives out at the worst time. Each day I excercise everything but focus on a different muscle group each day to give the others rest. Lunges and squats for legs, sit-ups for abdomen, pull-ups for arms and long jogs for stamina. That way I don't have any particular strengths but no glaring weaknesses. When I trained over in Japan for some joint exercises I participated in their method of...pain resistance. It was rough. They hit you with sticks repeatedly to get you used to the pain so your muscles don't give out as easily when struck. It seems to work for them because they do it repeatedly...didn't really work for me because I don't have the mental fortitude to let people hit me without retaliating.
