After a brief trip back to the lake, Shadow helped carry the full bucket this time as they walked back to the cabin. Maria resting her hand on his shoulder for a bit of the trip happily talking about what she should fix for the evening's meal. Shadow had been catching some larger game in these cooler weeks and they had meat from things like rabbit, boar and even deer sometimes.
As they walked Maria lightly rubbed her hands. She had been getting small instances of weakness in her limbs, usually just losing her footing now and then but this was the first time had hit her hands enough to make her drop what she was holding. It had also started to effect her appetite and making her feel slightly colder than normal. She worried but it wasn't bad enough to be noticeable to Shadow yet so she felt thankful to that at least.
