Oh yeah! So, this has come up a few times with my Earthbound art. I picked Ness for myself as the main dude - Zanny wanted to be Jeff specifically, and we figured if we were adventuring together, we'd have Foxune with us, so we had her be Paula! Though only odd part is, Foxune isn't really into being femine, and is usually more gender-neutral. And I mean, I usually dress in pink with a big red bowtie! And I usually like the outfits girls get in games more. It came up once or twice recently, so I figured I'd doodle us switchin' outfits! That way if anyone gets confused why Ness is dressed as Paula, etc., they know why. :3 It's just part'a bein' friends~!
Visual Description:
A 3 panel comic - 2 at the top, and one big image at the bottom.
On the top left, someone off-screen asks Foxune why they're dressed more girly, and Foxune, in their pink dress and red bow, say it's what Paula wears in Earthbound.
To the right, Oxnard's dressed as Ness in his red cap and striped shirt. He says yeah, it's a little unfitting for them, since usually he dresses more pink and they dress more neutral. Then he suggests, "Maybe we aughtta...?"
And in the final panel, Oxnard's wearing a cute pink shirt/dress with a red ribbon, and Foxune's wearing the more neutral or boy-ish clothes, pulling down their shirt shyly, with some pixel backgrounds behind them both that suit the game. Now they both look a lot more like what suits them today. :3

Quite adorable, Oxnard. You also share a really nice message on gender neutrality and why, to me, it is important that we not let how certain things are 'labelled' determine our feelings towards them.

This reminds me of how, yesterday, my 'tummy was talking' and, yet again, I thought of Foxhune and just how much more I notice and pay attention to those funny sounds that go into digestion. Our bodies are truly amazing and the way we all find one, or more, aspects of their function to be fascinating is very cool. Now, given the different fields of medicine, I wonder if those who like tummy sounds would get into Gastrology? This could also explain why we actually have people who are willing to be Urologists and foot specialists. (Can't seem to recall off-hand how to write the field of medicine given it sounds much like a very bad things that 'Littles' get accused of being.). *Sighs*

Another thing I remember is how Winry and Flynn are going super-duper slow in watching the live action 'Cowboy Bebop' on NetFlix. The live action version, which NetFlix already promised no second season within less than 3 weeks of release, would have been nice to allow some characters with little, to no, screen time to resolve those matters that went just as unresolved in the 1998 Anime, but I digress...
...2021 Cowboy Bebop pulls off a lot of 'Rule 663' with characters from the original show. They also, in my opinion, did well with the, initially, one-off character, Gren, who is most definitely gender neutral.

*Blush* There I go quacking too much... again. I'll end by saying how it is nice to not just walk in someone else's shoes, but spend a day in someone else's clothes. It can be quite enlightening and help make you better understand why they prefer what they do over what is 'recommended' for a particular gender, age, etc.
