Lillian, being shy and introverted, has had a history of being teased and mocked for having a more striking appearance and a figure that detractors feel like she doesn't deserve. Most commonly she is told she belongs in a circus, to which she did end up getting a job at. However despite giving into what they felt "suited her best" she ended up actually enjoying herself at the circus, helped in no part by a caring and supportive boss who helped build her self-confidence over the years.
