The Short Patrol: Redwall Fan Animatic (YouTube)
Last year, 
sent me a short, humorous retelling of Jaques's The Long Patrol: A Tale of Redwall" in a six-page script. As a fan who got acquainted with this book before the other parts and still loves it a lot, I laughed from the bottom of my heart: all deus-ex-machina moments and other plot crutchs are presented equally truthfully, witty and yet with great love for the original story - imperfect, but atmospheric and cozy...
I then said that if I had 48 hours a day, I would have made an animatic based on this script... Well, Kel liked the idea)) And what was a half-joke in the beginning, gradually came to life: Kelchan held a casting, recruited real voice actors and edited a gorgeous audio. And I made a draft animaticwith crooked muzzles and stock backgrounds, and then redrawn the backgrounds by hand, added color (in some places even light) and additional frames. Total - 567 frames and more than thirty backgrounds for a seven-and-a-half-minute video.

Once again, I am so happy you loved this idea! It was a blast making this dream come to life, even if it was a bit stressful!) Your hard work is very much loved by myself, everyone on this project, and the folks who watch it! I hope maybe we can do this again, now that we've grown and learned from this experience... After everything has calmed down, of course!

Badgers don't get enough love as Big Huge Critter-folk, or they still need a bit more. I mean, literally, they need more. Look at that gigantic, walk-in-the-woods and knitting and crafting badger-woman, wondering why she's kept at arms' length by everyone...well, aside from the fact that one of her arms are the same size and mass of everyone else she knows.
I applaud the Short Patrol, with at least someone that isn't particularly short therein! <3
