Alright so. I've been heavily debating if I should go through with this particular part of their culture for a long time. Because You know there is going to be some people screaming about it. But. I can't really deny what they are and what they do. So here it is. Take it what you will.

Oh yes definitely. Living creatures have various types of energy in them. So they are often useful sources. And Negative and Positive noven specifically feed off those corresponding emotional energies. Part of their culture involves sharing energy with eachother as well.
Huh, neat! I do wonder, though, do emotional energy Noven act like the energy they feed off of? So like...do negative energy noven act kinda angry or sad, do positive ones act happy and such?
The next question is, I assume when an emotional noven feeds, it pulls that emotion from others, right? So do negative energy novens make people happier, and positive ones steal the happiness?

they actually typically behave the opposite of their energy type. Negative act positive due to the lack of negativity around them. Positive are more gloomy cause that siphon the positive energy around them.
And they only siphon the corrosponding energy. it makes one temporarily unable to feel that emotion until the siphon ends. It doesnt necessarily make them feel the opposite emotion though.
