As I did this commission I looked up information about lucky coin cats. I thought it was interesting, so imma share!
The maneki-neko (ζγη«, lit. 'beckoning cat') is a common Japanese figurine which is often believed to bring good luck to the owner. In modern times, they are usually made of ceramic or plastic.
The kanji in the coin says εδΈδΈ‘ (sen-man-ryou), which means 10 million taels (of gold). It could be just a generic term to describe lots of money.
