...I don't know how I did it, but I did.

I'm once again not going to go into detail about the things that have been going on in my life for the past couple years, but I will say that 2020 was a pretty bad year for me, and 2021 was somehow even worse. That's why I really WANT to spend more time just enjoying myself and relaxing in 2022 and use it as a bit of a mental health year to recover from stuff, but knowing my luck, that probably won't work the way I want it to. The one good thing I can say about 2021 though is that a lot of good stuff came out this year, and I also had a lot of fun doing all the stuff I've been doing on here for the past year, so let's talk about that stuff, shall we?

So there were quite a few games that came out this year including remakes, new chapters, and completely new games, but the only ones I got to play myself this year were Scott Pilgrim vs The World: Complete Edition, New Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Unite, Sonic Colors Ultimate, Chapter 2 of Deltarune, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Balan Wonderworld, and there are also a couple games from this year that I own and just haven't gotten to play yet. Of the ones I have played, I think my overall favorite would actually be Deltarune because I got so insanely excited when it was announced and was at the countdown for its release and beat it in one sitting, but disregarding new chapters and remakes/re-releases, my favorite completely new game from this year that I played was Balan Wonderworld. As for comics, I of course read all of this year's releases of the Sonic IDW comics, and I always enjoy me some Sonic IDW :3 I also for the first time ever did a full read-through of both the Archie comics as well as Sonic the Comic and Sonic the Comic Online, and I got REALLY into those ones too. As for comics outside of Sonic, I didn't really read anything new from this year outside of some snippets I read in free comic book day specials, but I did watch quite a few new movies as well as new shows and seasons of shows, and while most of what I saw was good, I once again won't be listing them all off due to there being so many. As for new things I'm looking forward to in 2022, game-wise I'm really looking forward to Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Sonic Frontiers, Chapters 3, 4, and 5 of Deltarune (which were confirmed to be released all at once, and there's a good chance they'll come out in 2022, if not in 2023), Breath of the Wild 2, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Splatoon 3. There aren't a lot of new shows I know of that are coming out this coming year outside of Sonic Prime, but I do have an insane backlog of shows (mainly cartoons and anime) that I either want to re-watch or watch for the first time, so I'll probably end up watching some of those, and I also pretty much HAVE to watch both Sonic 2 and the Mario movie when they come out as well as possibly a couple others.

As for what I'm planning on doing on here (DeviantArt and Fur Affinity) in the next year, I'm planning on 2022 basically being the same as 2021, so I'll still be doing monthly events and holiday specials and whatnot. In regards to the monthly events though, I'm planning on doing Pokemon Month again, but I think I'm going to be doing one or two new events to replace Zelda Month and Ani-May, but I'll leave my ideas for those a secret for now. Sonictember and Inktober will also be pretty much the same in 2022 as they were in 2021, but I already have a different theme picked for this year's Sonictember that I will also save as a surprise. I also have a lot of plans for this year regarding reviews, and I'm already playing through a game to do a redux review of for my first review of the year and am also compiling stuff to do another versus, so expect to see that stuff pretty soon.

And that's about all I wanted to say! Seeing as though this is going to be my final submission for 2021, I'd like to thank everyone who's been following and looking at my art this past year, and I'm looking forward to doing more stuff in 2022! Also, if 2022 could be better than the last two years, that would be nice.
