Vargr's submission for the Fur Fright con-book, for 2005. Wuff is pleased to say it was accepted, so Vargr can truthfully say he's a "published author". *grins*

Not everyone has the same enthusiasum about transformation or were's. *smiles* Just as some folks like felines more than canines; same for dragons, or gryphs, or any others. This wuff is fine with all that.
Makes wuff especially happy to know that you still enjoyed it, even though it wasn't at the top of your preferred subjects. Vargr must have done something right! *big grin*
Just curious - what ARE your prefered story subjects/situation?

Hmm, thats actually a good question. Ive never put it to words before. I guess Id have to say my current obsession lies in inflation and felines, but really dragons, gryphs, unicorns, canines, birds, and more, theyre all good to me. Transformation, adventure, magic, future, and past must all be on the list too because I have fond memories of enjoying stories alone all those lines and more. Perhaps, for me, its not so much about the subject per say, though of course that will have some influence, but rather how well the story entices me. I do prefer stories that can captivate my imagination, pull my emotions and leave me wanting to read more. A good sense of realism or plausibility will definitely play a part as well since I dont really like stories that read like a dream on a caffeine high.
It seems my taste in stories is much like my taste in music, the genre is unimportant; its all about the song, the beat, the sounds, and whether it can hold my attention or not.
At the moment, thats probably about the best I can nail it down to.
Heh, does any of that make any sense?

That makes a great deal of sense, actually! *grins* And follows with quite a few of this wuff's preferences as well, both in writing and music. Very cool!
Well then, Vargr will keep your words in mind for future stories. Since this wuffy writes as much for his own amusement, and since we seem to be pretty close in what we enjoy in a story, wuff suspects future offerings will entertain you as well. *grins*
