Thormundar - Zokeri, Flux Channeler
"A Mountain Goblin who joined the Hidden Sea as an exotic energy researcher, Zokeri wanted to study how magic could be used to create matter. With the help of supportive friends and a lot of determination, she climbed the ranks to become a Magus of the Hidden Sea, a position of leadership rarely held by a Goblin. An experiment involving a primordial form of magical energy known as Flux would prove to be an obstacle when the containment equipment mysteriously failed, detonating and leaving her as the only survivor. The incident, however, had changed Zokeri, now a conduit of the chaotic energies of Flux. Zokeri has retained her position of Magus, and has a new lead into her research thanks to the new availabilty of experimental samples. She remains relatively chipper, even with her current dual role as scientist and experiment.
While she is now immune to the deadly effects of contact with Flux, Zokeri has to wear a specialized harness to control the emission of Flux from her body and prevent the Flux from killing her colleagues. Zokeri has modified her equipment to be able to process the Flux into energy, using the result to empower her own spells and rituals."
I don't usually delve into the realm of sci-fi, but I've touched on it for Thormundar with several characters of one of the factions, the Hidden Sea. Zokeri herself was designed way back in 2018, though I've never made a painting of her since then. Figured then that I should combine the two as part of my last painting of 2021!
