The Dynamo Inkslingin' Sovereign
Fun fact, I was in a real big fighting game kick while I was working on the latest piece of Queen Squeeks. So much so I actually made a movelist for him as well. <3
...And kinda even made a breakdown of it, hahahaha
Title: Dynamo Ink-Slingin’ Toon Sovereign
Playstyle: Versatile Pressure Zoner
• Utilizes toon ink as a separate resource to set up projectiles and traps to control the stage and neutral play. Boasts aggressive pressure and phenomenal combo potential.
Unique Traits
Inkslinger: Queen Squeeks uses Toon Ink as a separate resource to fuel or enhance much of his gameplay. Effective play with Squeeks will involve properly managing his resources inbetween his pressure game. Squeeks begin rounds with 2 ink stocks, and can have up to 6.
Wind-Up: Queen Squeeks can briefly charge (AKA "blowback edge", AKA "hold down the button") some of his specials to infuse it with a stock of Toon Ink and enhance its properties.
Smear Take: Being passively bound to toon physics, Queen Squeeks can invoke smear frames to cancel his specials into each other.
Move List Details
Ink Splash
[236 (QCF) + Any Atk or Skill] [Wind-Up]
Queen Squeeks swipes his hand forward and blasts a wave of toon ink in front of him in a short range.
• Light version is weaker but fast, and can be charged to increase its damage and blockstun.
• Heavy version is slow, but strong, and can be used to give powerful pokes at a longer range. Charging it alters it to cause knockdowns and deal larger shield pressure.
• Skill version spends meter and fires almost fullscreen. On hit, it wall splats, and on block, it has a small amount of blockstun. When charged, it instead blasts the opponent to the corner, and doubles its blockstun.
Portable Hole
[214 (QCB) + Any Atk or Skill] [Wind-Up] [Air OK]
Queen Squeeks tosses out an inky portable hole from hammerspace that he can later use to blast against anything caught in its range.
• Can be charged to increase the holes’ size, range, damage, and frame advantage.
• Up to three Portable Holes can be active at once, two from any Attack, and one extra from Skill.
• When used on the ground, Light version drops the hole in front of Squeeks, Heavy version drops it underneath the opponent. Skill version drops it underneath the opponent, following their movements. All holes have OTG properties and launch grounded opponents.
• In the air, all versions function the same; they form in front of Squeeks and stay at the location where he made them. They automatically change directions to whichever side the opponent is at. Charged aerial holes are air unblockable.
Load Up/Heads Up~!
[22 (Down, Down) + Any Atk / 22 (Down, Down) + Skill] [Wind-Up]
Queen Squeeks generates ink to replenish and add to his resources. Alternatively, he can instead spend his ink stocks to cause objects to fall from the sky.
• “Load Up” adds 1 stock of ink with each use. It can be charged to remain stationary and generate more stocks up to the max.
• “Load Up” is fast to activate, and can be coupled with special cancels to make it safe to use.
• “Heads Up~!” causes a variety of toony props to fall from the sky in front of Squeeks. They spend all ink stocks, but depending on how many are spent increases its damage and hitbox, and changes its properties.
• At base, it knocks down airborne opponents.
• 1+ stock gives it OTG launching properties.
• 3+ stocks make the launch untechable (unable to recover), and causes airborne opponents to bounce from the ground.
• 5+ stocks makes it air unblockable.
• Max stacks alter it into a unique attack with a cutscene that tracks to the opponent's location.
Slapstick Sovereign
[236 (QCF) + Atk & Skill] [Super]
Queen Squeeks unleashes her inkslinging to its peak as he utilizes a massive slew of wacky weapons or firearms to take down his opponent in a full assault.
• Powerful Super attack with alternate effects depending on if it's struck in melee (using bats, swords, giant boxing gloves etc.) or ranged (guns, rocket launchers, custard creme pies, etc.)
• Immediately spends all ink stocks to increase damage and props used in the animation; leaves Squeeks with 2 stocks.
His Majesty, The Queen
[63214 (HCB) + Skill during Slapstick Sovereign] [Hyper]
Queen Squeaks presses beyond his limits, cutting his existing attack short to undergo a state of Inkflow, permitting him limitless use of ink to strengthen his onslaughts for a short duration.
• Cancels Slapstick Sovereign to undergo a buff that removes the ink stock limit, permitting innate use of Wind-Up properties.
• Further enhances Wind-Up Specials by continuing to charge them.
• Heads Up special is locked at the 3+ Stock effect.
• The sooner Slapstick Sovereign is cancelled, the longer the buff lasts, lasting 6 seconds at minimum, up to 20 seconds.
Pros:
• Can cancel-chain specials into other specials, leading to both stylish and oppressive pressure.
• Wind-Up mechanics can suddenly surprise people with varied effects.
• EX Ink Splash can be utilized as both a combo starter and blockstring tool.
• Portable Holes can make any approach against them a terrifying venture, as well as provide pressure and mixups.
• Can perform ink loops with Portable Hole and Heads Up.
• Based off Melty Blood Current Code’s C-Roa.
Cons:
• Resource management is an additional feature to take notice of, with effective play requiring learning its tricks, and that’s not even including memorizing Wind-Up.
• Very tricky to learn for being a cover character. Akira Yuki vibes here.
• Busted but also everyone else in the roster is busted in their own unique ways also.
• Very basic if you disregard Squeeks’ Inkslinger mechanic.
• Based off Melty Blood Current Code’s C-Roa.
