Ackchyually, in its original context, gluttony meant something more severe than mere overindulgence. It meant a willingness to overindulge one's own desires (for anything pleasurable, not just food) combined with a callous attitude toward the needy. Also, sloth had a more serious meaning too. It didn't just mean laziness. It meant apathy.
