Maine Vacation Day 6 - Schoodic Point 1
We then drove back west to Schoodic Point, which is part of Acadia National Park and across the Bay from Bar Harbor. Again, it was a very foggy day. The rocks at Schoodic Point are made from veins of Basalt interspersed with veins of Granite. This channel of water was formed by the waves wearing the basalt vein away between the blocks of granite.
