After we canoed, we relaxed a bit before starting the arduous drive back. All the roads in Baxter State Park are dirt roads on which you cannot safely exceed 15 mph. If you ever visit, make sure you have a full gas tank.

Anyway, I sat in just the right place in the grass to see this lovely view of Katahdin right between the trees and had to snap it!
