The trail rose up along a stream that cascaded through the rocks and settled in various little pools like this one. We both stuck our hands in and agreed we didn't want to wade in this water! Brrrr!

I love water. Whenever I'm driving down the street and I see a small crook in the forest I get this urge to pull over and explore it. I usually don't, but I get the urge. It's fun to go wading in the shallow end. I've said before that I think rain is inspiring, but perhaps water is inspiring. :)
That's probably part of it. Perhaps it's also nice to see nature putting on show for us. The water looks so welcoming and inviting. I've been practicing drawing water ever since I saw this one. Oh yeah, great photograph. I actually have taken pictures like this of small brooks before.
