You can get a ton of information from pheromones, an insane amount of information.
Rough age (Young adult or midlife for example), sex, general emotions, health (injured? Sick? Hungry? Exhausted?) even things like pregnancy or arousal can be gathered from a good thorough smell. There are also scents that drekir build up that help identify them as a member of a particular den (just everyone living together does that).

Is there any chance that in the far future of this timeline or in the one where the dimensional bleed through was much more sporadic, leading all transformed former-humans to be contained in a futurist, underground city, that they could make magitech that could transmit smells and pheromones across great distances, possibly in a smart phone or smart phone like device?
