truth be told that temp tank looks so well setup I'd let him spend his trial acclimation/quarantine in there...and it isn't THAT small compared to a 10gal :)

The other perk to garters is the ease of popping, even an adult...so you can be certain Gary's a 'Gary' lol...fish-eating snakes are kinda awesome to watch hunt too, minnows are easy to find too, just feeder fish for larger predatory fish.

Yeah, I was planning on letting him rest in there for a week or so. The good thing is it may not be too long, but it's pretty tall, so once I get some sticks he'll have some vertical room to play with :) Thanks for the compliment, though :D

Oh god I'd be pretty apprehensive to pop him haha. What with the musk and poop-whipping they do. His tail is very long, though, and his size leads me to believe he's a male. Maybe after his first week or two, after he's calmed down, I'll give popping a shot.

I can't wait to get him a feeder fish haha. I think I'll start him out on pinkies or young mice just for the ease. But I'd love to see his hunting skills with fish c:
