One of my fav suits!

I'm gonna say this and leave the comment as is: The tentacles make you 150% kickass

I need to get off my lazy butt and make animated one some day. Get some use out of my college education.

Animated tentacles? Okay, that'd raise you to 10,000% kickass

Animating tentacles or tails for that matter is surprisingly easy, but what you hook onto it to make it move is the tough part. Its just a rod of spring steel or a old fishing pole with a series of discs running along it and 2 or 3 cables to pull it in different directions. Normally all of those cables/strings would run to levers you pull to make them move but in a suit that doesn't work so most folks opt for R/C car servos. Again, you need some one to control them or you hook up a small computer/control of some sort to run pre-programed patterns. The simplest thing for me would be to have them all bend inwards and have a cord coming out of my rib area to my elbows so when I extended my arms (say to hug some one) the tendrils would all bend in around the person.
