I suppose I’m finally reviving this series, here’s my current set of wheels. It’s a late mk1 Octavia which has been rock solid and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed owning considering I’d paid next to nothing for it. It’s pretty much the highest trim with a much rarer 1.8t 20v, 5 speed manual and lots of cushy leather.

Think of these as an in between of a Golf and a Passat, arguably more reliable and well built than both, but with a bit more quirky-ness and Czech flair.

This has been my daily driver for almost the past couple of years, but now it’s become my second project vehicle as I’ve now got something which I’ll most likely show soon. With a bit of luck and me working my bunny butt off some more, this Skoda is going to at least be semi restored and have a suspension overhaul as a number one priority, not as sharp as it once was
