A quick sketch of Rynn, holding the legendary Runeblade, with the mythical dragon Arokh. I drew these exclusively from memory so some details might not be correct.
When Rynn's younger brother gets kidnapped by the minions of an evil sorceror, Rynn leaves the smoldering ruins of her village, awakens the legendary dragon Arokh from his stone sleep, yells at him to get with the program when he gets pissy about it, and flies off to kill bad guys and save her little brother.
Drakan - Order of the Flame is one of, if not my favourite game of all time and I still play that game any day, even more than 20 years after its release. Arokh is the reason I know anything about drawing dragons and I make a point in keeping its influence in every dragon a draw, even Spyro.
I read somewhere the creators took inspiration from Lara Croft which I guess explains Rynn's ample... assets but as a kid me and my friend didn't really car about that. What we DID care about is that the game allowed us to whistle and call a bitchin' dragon for us to ride around and burn enemies to cinders. Plus you could kill enemy dragons and absorb their different types of breath. It truly was a game of a kind. I am told it had a sequel which, for some reason was realeased on PS2 instead of the PC the original had been on (I don't understand videogame business), but I never played that one.
