That is a great picture, and I like the contrast between old and new in your shot. I really miss the old style Burlington Northern trains as they were so cool with the "B" and the "N" merged into one character. The green and white of the Burlington Northern trains were a neat colour combination. It is good to see that there are still some locomotives floating around with that colour scheme.

Ahh!... 3700hp... On the steam engine that is the real thing while on the diesel it is just faults advertising.
I model the old BN while my son models the BNSF. Is the Reading engine still in steam or is it down awaiting a boiler inspection?

2100 is stored serviceable it had its FRA inspection and boiler work in 2006 and i belive the new FRA rules give it 15yrs now instead of 5yrs

Just think these steamers could pull almost triple what those two modern locomotives can.

It just tells you how truly much horsepower was used back then versus now.
