Davie Blackwell calmly and quietly reads a bedtime story to Angela, his granddaughter. The old pirate feels anxious, as much as he loves his granddaughter's company, he worries for her safety, after the authorities 'dealt' with her parents, he's the only family she has left.
Unfortunately, leaving the pirate life isn't all that easy, Davie also knows that when it comes to his relationship with the authorities, he's on thin ice.
Angela feels calm, and comforted with her Granddad, the young child is a little clingy, but she manages to understand his work.

Davie and Angela are characters for a different story I'm currently trying to write.
Davie is a medical worker for a space pirate crew, and He's currently the legal guardian for his Granddaughter.
They are Gulper Eel peoples.
