The Arcadian Felirex is the largest true feline that inhabits the continent of Arcadia. In order to avoid competition with True Dragons and larger Theropods, they started hunting during the night and the early hours of dawn; while dragons rule the day, felines rule the night.

Felirex are both sapient and sentient creatures that are capable of using magic to aid them during hunts. While dragons normally rely on elemental spells, felines mostly make use of illusion and buff spells, all in order to aid their stealth capabilities. The Felirex rely on this sort of magic the most out of all felines; while they invested in reaching massive sizes to make use of giant prey (terrestrial griffins, several herbivorous dinosaurs, etc) and fend off potential competition, their natural ability to sneak suffered quite a bit from that, hence the use of magic.

The Felirex lead a solitary lifestyle, much like most other cats and as such, they value their privacy. If a human encounters one of them, the situation is... oddly enough, not dire. As long as the human (or elf, or any other humanoid) shows respect to it, the Felirex will briefly acknowledge their presence, and then move on, paying little attention to the smaller life form. With magic revolving around illusions and the mind, these cats are capable of telepathic communication, though it's not very likely that they will entertain the idea of talking to any random humanoid (they have better things to do).
Normal vocalizations of an average Felirex usually consist of growls, yowls, hisses, and purrs. The above-mentioned capability for non-verbal communication stems from the fact that they are, in fact, unable to talk in the same way as humans or dragons do.
