Felt like drawing this particular individual from a recent dream I had.
He was originally a young knight, still with much to learn but able-bodied and enthusiastic, with a strong desire to protect his homeland and the people therein. But war is an ugly thing, and he was slain by an opposing warrior with a spear. This wasn't the end, however - only the start.
His body was delivered to a mysterious woman with long dark hair and a dark-colored dress, who ran a strange and secretive project. It was unclear if it was something officially sanctioned (if highly classified), or if there were perhaps more nefarious things going on. Either way, this slain knight was submerged in a circular black pool, in which the dark liquid almost seemed strangely alive. Following this, the knight's life was restored, but the memories of his own death were hazy, along with a few other aspects of his life. Still, he had enough sense of self to remember that he was above all else a knight and protector.
He was given a new set of armor, entirely black in color, and placed within a new chapter of knights - the Black Legion. There were only a handful of them, though it was unclear why there were so few. Nevertheless, they were an elite and fearsome force. They still spoke, still had enough of their old personalities to not be pure automatons, but they could endure and inflict far greater punishment than the average knight. They never showed their faces, never removed their armor or helmets. And of course, they were completely loyal.
Maybe something worth exploring in the future, as his own character (and the Legion as well). While he didn't have a name, perhaps he doesn't need one? Or does he?
