if they lived their whole life, or a couple of years with these kind of diferences, i'd bet yeah.. it will totally afect them. Our perception of ourselves, our life conditions (challenges, oportunities, weakneses and strenghts) and the perception others have of ourselves (and how they treat us based on that) does totally afect your personalities.
So, for me, is a matter of asking "when" did they changed.
