Hi there everyone once again. This will be my fourth and last drawing for this year's Derpibooru collab. I know, I haven't drawn enough diapers those days... I'm so sorry. Anyways, I wanted to do something different for this year's holidays so I focused my energy in helping others with their OCs for the collab. It was a really exciting, satisfying, and challenging activity and now I'll be more than ready to bring you more amazing padded drawing in the near future after some rest :D
I didn't talk too much with the OC's owner about it, but it seems that Trip Away is a decided pegasus, a pony that is looking forward to explore the world, to catch every possible detail of the foreign lands. There is simply not a place where his wings can't fly to. I tried to put those personality aspects in this drawing. A confident posture and smile as well as his wings spread, all of this was quiet easy, but at the same time I think I reached my main goal. By the way, I love crazily his cutie mark :3
So, what do you think? Will you join to his adventurous trip?
I didn't talk too much with the OC's owner about it, but it seems that Trip Away is a decided pegasus, a pony that is looking forward to explore the world, to catch every possible detail of the foreign lands. There is simply not a place where his wings can't fly to. I tried to put those personality aspects in this drawing. Trip Away reminds me of a character I created a long time ago. Unfortunately, I did not do enough writing about him. This was because I took a new direction with Equestrian Yosh, which seperated my OC adventure pony, Dawnbreak Horizon, from Yosh in an effort to make Equestrian Yosh my vehicle with coping with losing the rest of my physical eyesight.

Now, back on the Pegasus in the picture, I will say your description of him is most delightful. He is more than my Dawnbreak Horizon ever was going to be. Reading about Trip Away really makes me feel a strong desire to start writing and sharing stories on here as soon as I possibly can.

If you do not mind, could you describe his Cutie mark? If it is one that you really find interesting, I know I will find it super interesting, too.

The idea of Trip Away being the kind of Pegasus who is not held back from exploring the world of Equestria, and beyond, makes me see what you drew as a very soothing image of this OC delighting in how the world is his to explore without any worries. It is like you can feel a gentle breeze blowing favorably for him to extend his wings and gently continue until something catches his attention to get him to land and explore the region he just happened to come upon. His mind is worry free as a result of dedicating all his energy towards finding that which makes him feel happy.
I, now, see him being much like the legendary Pokemon, Celebi. A drifter who is looking to find all the joys in the world instead of those that bring about sorrow. His wings serving as his vehicle to travel to different places that catch his attention for being where he may stir up some mischief, or just feel good in being a part of.

I think I remember a little bit of that character you mentioned. Maybe I read something about it in one of your Fimfiction stories of four years ago or so? If I remember well, it was a really nice character :3
Now that you mention it, yeah, this OC reminds me a little bit to Celebi, (he is also green indeed) probably in a more serious way, because this stallion looks more like Soarin for example, pretty strong and brave, but your comparison is (in my opinion and ignoring OC's owner considerations) really appropriated. I also think that he could be the kind of pony that has some personal objects and simply his home is anywhere with a nice view and nice companions. Any place to which his wings can bring him is good enough and he considers that the happiness is in the trip.
His cutie mark is the planet earth with its typical cartoon colors for the continents and oceans (light green and blue), over a cloud. It is pretty simple, but at the same time I consider it has a great meaning. For example, I think it could mean that "the world is the hoof of this pegasi". Those like, possible deep meanings are the reasons because I like it pretty much.

I like The Cutie Mark. It may be simple, but it also really shows both the 'Special Talent' and 'Personality' of this OC.

There is a song by the band 'Metallica' called "Wherever I May Roam". It has a good line in it that states, "Wherever I lay my head is home.". The metal / rock aspect of the song does not properly do justice to this Pegasus. However I like the idea of knowing that Trip Away is 'home' wherever he decides to go to at any particular time. His heart is with the wind and, to me, he does not trouble himself in making more out of life than enjoying the adventure in which his wings, the wind, and his heart take him to.

In a way, I see Trip Away as having the same kind of feeling of secuirty, peace, and joy as those of us who like feeling like foals. The difference is that a foal wants to be in a happy place that is free of trauma and stress that is managed by a caretaker. Those, like Trip Away, find similar peace from the stress and traumas of the world by continually making adventures out of their solitary flights that have no real destination beyond what may catch their interest as they fly along without a care in the world.
For Trip Away, I agree he would not have many physical possessions. He would, to me, likely have some trinkets that remind him of those ponies and places that have helped him to feel good in being the Pegasus he is. He would love to find old towns, homes, etc. to settle in for a bit and maybe even repair to his liking before taking off on another journey with no worry of when, or even if, he may return to that special place he had made all his own.

Perhaps, as he got older, he would find joy in seeing other ponies using his temporary homes? Knowing he was able to assist a fellow traveler would be a great showing of friendship for a Pegasus who, I imagine, primarily travels by himself. He may find some 'kindred spirits' to fly with from time-to-time, but he would just enjoy the time their paths cross and make sure to treat the other pony kindly before wishing them well until adventure may bring them together again.
