I don't draw as much of these two as I wanna! So here's Berdly and Ralsei sitting down, back to back, their wings and paws almost touching. Ralsei looking calm and sweet as ever with Berdly more wide-eyed and bashful. The smooth background has Berdly's color in lighter blue behind him, Ralsei's smooth green by himself, a pink underneath, that all blends into a little gay rainbow of colors for these two.

Oh, golly-gosh, Oxnard. This image is pushing my buttons big time.
I really need to use my time away from all the chaos of my residence to delve deeper into Berdly. He, so far, is so much like Aro and, with that, I want to know more of how he and the injury-prone hummingbird are both similar and different. Perhaps, once I achieve this, I could put a little story together.

Berdly, to my current knowledge, would be very nervous in exploring feelings of sexual interest towards someone of the same gender. However it would be more due to how he values his image than for how he feels any shame, embarrasment, etc. for having feels for Ralsei.
Ralsei, who I know far less about, does sound like the type who is more open to trying new things and being accepting towards those harmless things that make those around him unique. He is, seemingly, laid back with a "Happy to be along for the ride" sort of attitude towards his adventures with Chris and pals.

*Blush* Perhaps, when I am able to, I can get Berdly and Yosh to get a little closer as they use their 'Gamer Pants' to co-op in a game? ;)

Haha it's an unexpected pair I like a lot! In the game, Berdly seems closer to Noelle, gets paired with the game's pink dino Susie, and he's mostly a rival for the main character. He never really interacts with Ralsei, who's really great and one of my favorites too. Everyone loves Ralsei! They're calm like Toriel and sweet and caring, but a younger friend, possibly naive and innocent, or maybe not, people aren't sure if they can trust him! But for now, I think the only person who would be nice to Berdly is Ralsei, since he's so motherly and patient, I don't think anyone else could really tolerate him, hehe.
Berdly's definitely a bit of a fool and accident-prone, gets beat up and hurt a lot... thankfully Aro isn't as obnoxious or rude, but they both can get mad and picked on! I hope it'll be fun for ya as you gradually learn more about the series! I'm sure you gamer birds can have fun with your special gamer pants!

Hmm. Would you say that Ralsei is kind of like Cooni? The description you wrote, particularly of how some people are not sure they can trust him, reminds me a lot of how Cooni turned out due to his interactions with Faux Farewell. Plus we cannot forget the 'City Of Prudes' he came from and that he is quite good at seizing opportunities with, or without, Faux's influence.

<LoL!> I feel more relatable to Berdly after you mention how hard it is for people to 'tolerate' him. My ex-wife has been very hurtful over the years to me, but she is quite right in how I, more often than not, have a personality that people either really love, or totally hate. (I think this is what has made me struggle in employment as I get too into being a Spike / Isabelle. Most employers just want you to do your job and not concern yourself in matters beyond the 'scope of your position'. Well, until they throw new responsibilities on you.).
Berdly may get physically beat up in the game, but I've felt 'Snow Grave' on me in the psychological sense from people in the outside world. I then go 'over the top' to try and prove my worth and, well, SWAT!, down I go for not having properly 'known my place'. *Shrugs*

I'd probably be crying real tears if I played this game. Especially at the part where Berdly shares how insecure he is due to feeling obliged to live up to what he accomplished at that Spelling Bee. Too often, I feel pressure to 'fit in' and 'be like everyone else' when, given I have no physical eyesight, there is no way I truly ever can live up to these expectations. Though, as I see Berdly doing, I overcompensate by flapping at my beak until, ultimately, I either clamp it, or I find myself dug into a hole that is not possible toget out of.

This is why, since this year, I've stopped trying to find positions that align with my Job Experience and Education. I've managed to interview for 3 support jobs, 2 in which are still 'Pending', that severely underpay. However they would not negatively impact my SSDI benefits and are likely to either put me in a place where I can be seen to show that those, like me, are more competent than is belived, or the job would hide me away from the world and, well, I'd no longer be a proverbial 'eyesore' to what makes up 'The Status Quo'.

*Clamps Beak* And, as per usual, I talked too much. *Blush* Kazootles...

Haha hm, it's hard to say what character Ralsei is most like! He's just very gentle and soft, quiet, supportive, and a good mix of both innocent, but just a bit mysterious or untrustworthy even though he never really does or says anything wrong. Those are only from details the player picks up. He's probably most like Toriel since he's calm, polite, and sweet. But he's not as tough as she is, she has a bit of a harder tougher mommy thing to her sometimes. He's not too like any of my character either. He's a bit soft and understanding like Cooni. And very caring and helpful like Goatella, but not as energetic. He's a bit like Stan, the big muscle work, but not as pathetically shy and nervous. Maybe even a bit like Macaroni in him being caring and sweet and small, but she seems tougher. He's not as naively little kid innocent or like the older Asriel either. Some characters are just themselves!
Hehe it's hard to imagine people disliking you, you seem just right to me. :3 But haha I guess you've had enough incidents with people and work to show the rest of the world can be pretty different. You feel right at home with me though. :3
