Well, here it is, my crux character I made as a furry personalization to the real me, as drawn by 
herisheft. Granted I'm not missing any limbs or anything, but if I explained it to you personally it would definately make sense.
He's running around looking exactly like that on SecondLife as Duqe Pexington, skin was custom-made by your's truly and Duqe is an attempt to stay true to the original, genderless mutant design of the Crux.

You guys Mal never intended the genderless thing to be a part of the character design of the crux, it was just another way of saying its unisex. Genderless and unisex go hand in hand, that way people could have a female crux or male crux or genderless! Either way it is predominantly male, true genderless characteristics would have to be derived from androgyny. Mal intended for everyone to do anything they want with it. People just got to carried away with the "genderless" description, reading to much into it and thinking it was part of the character design.
tl;dr Cruxes originate from some universe where they all reproduce asexually, and all more or less just vary in color scheme; however in other universes they can modify their physical appearances so they have 12 foot long monster cocks they can fuck godzilla in the ass sideways with ontop of mount fuji, and have gigantic earth engulfing anuses that poop rainbows and unicorns.
Also, Malluch kinda sorta finds androgyny hot.
