Oddly enough, I've yet to encounter this with any of my groups, though I would not have been surprised. Eh, their minds are more often in other dirty places (of which I will not go into). Personally, I want to know what chart you rolling on or whatever to see if that worked. Unless this is D&D 3 or 3.5, then I have a pretty good idea as to what you were referencing.
Oh, and the first comic was pretty funny to. As a DM, you always have to watch your logic, or someone will do something like that.
