They’ve done it twice, once with Venus Di Milo in that terrible live action Saban Turtles show “The Next Mutation” and then again recently in the IDW TMNT comics co-written by Kevin Eastman. Her name in the comics is Jennika, and she was a Foot Clan assassin Splinter took under his wing and she basically relearned morality and honor from her new Sensei, Splinter and even started dating Casey Jones after he and April drifted apart(and all of this happened before she was mutated into a turtle thanks to an emergency blood infusion from one of the turtles).
Can't wait to see this come out!
I have the original comic that this is (probably) based on, so it will be interesting to see how well you've adapted it.
My only two questions are; Will April keep her hair during her transformation? and will she remain as a turtle at the end? (The latter could be due to the Turtles knocking her up)
