Small scanner is too small... x.x;; Dang I wish my scanner was larger than 8.5x11...
Tartesk is the deceased brother of my character, Mezzla the Kitterwing. ^^ (for those of you who don't remember her, check my gallery for a picture of her, or just do a simple Search.) Far unlike his sister, he's--or was, very calm in nature and a gentle soul. The younger of the two, he was very inspired by the voices of the forest, and the smaller creatures around him. The flute that his sister now holds once belonged to him. Unlike most other instruments which require the use of wind power, drumming, strumming, plucking, picking, pressing, beating, tapping, and so forth, his instrument could be enchanted with a bit of magic, and manipulated to form mystical and enchanting melodies that would bring visitors far and wide to listen to his musical performance.
Unlike his sister, whose Bind and Sleep spells held or restricted those around her, Tartesk's summoning ability, Wood Call, drew the attention of the woodland animals to his presence, where he would have them join in dance, and joy, and song. In every since of the word, he was a calming and endearing brother...
Tartesk met his fate's end when his sister was suffering from a deep pain in her left kidney. Only wishing to help, he tried to aid his sister in her pain by doing what he could--trying to remove the source of the pain itself. Unfortunately, while using his bone dagger to remove her kidney, the poisons of the kidney infected him... and unfortunately Tartesk passed away three days later.
Mezzla mourns the loss of her brother, and ridicules his foolish actions for trying to save her life. Yet, there is evidence that she still cares about him. The young Kitter, who would join in the forest's song... and would play... and dance... and sing... He is buried in a special place, where he would draw the attention of the forest creatures. His grave is visited often, and Mezzla has made his grave her home. She has taken his flute and made it her own, and playing its mystical melody makes her feel at ease. Just the way her brother used to make her feel...
