This is and old drawing I decided to rework and repost.
I will not write the lore for it but I will give some context, this unamed rat woman is a prostitute in the under city of Libertalia,this is the only relatively good drawing I have of the scenery in the subterranean world,of all the cities in the world Libertalia is the best one to be a prostitute, because there this is a legitimate profession with rights and safety nets, not exactly because there is a governament, but because the red light district of Libertalia is controled by a powerful and well organized gang of ex-prostitutes who have the bless of Shalinko to operate in the city, inside their turf prostitutes can work safely.
This red light district is also free of sex trafficking due the vigilance of the Anti Slavery league, so if you try to set up a brothel there with captured girls, you will receive a visit of the league...and it will be very bad for your pshyscal integrity.
Some can say Libertalia is a city where crime is legalized, that's kinda true but not really, they just have a very rudimentary code of laws and they don't care for most of the things a normal city state would care, they have no laws for drugs, guns, explosives and overall smuggling, the city is a gigantic black market, the only thing that is completely forbidden is people trafficking, most of the city is divided in quarters controled by different gangs specialized in some activity, like the one I mentioned before,but the league has power over all of them, anyone who tries to step out of their boundaries suffer severe consequences, during the early days of Libertalia many drug lords and cartels tried to took power away from Shalinko and the league...nowadays you can find their skins flaying like flags from over the league HQ, Shalinko may have noble goals, but he also has no mercy with anyone trying to fuck with his business.

Oh, I see you found her. Quite a charmer, I'm glad you have her posted. As I've said before this location really stirs my imagination. If anywhere was a place for our worlds to cross this would be the setting. Thriving free markets make great places to introduce new technological wonders and make connections with locals. You can learn all about a new world from such a place. If miracle medication, advanced weapons, and seemingly magical trinkets start showing up the recon teams might be snooping about.
Where that could get fun is that my world has a militant antislavery cult called "The Knights of St. Sikeen" they hold that no sapient being can be owned or can be eaten. Their patron saint was famous for killing a draconic false god by being eaten and cutting his way out killing the beast.
While the initial team of researchers are just there to explore. If stories about your world make it to the cult members things could get really interesting.
