And now it’s Apex’s turn for his spotlight after his brother Ruthnaan! He’s had a very, very drastic change in both his appearance and character.
The first thing that contributes to his lore is that the reason he is called the “god of demons” was because when Ruthnaan split himself and brought Apex to life, it caused a sudden shift in the universe. Angels and demons never existed, until both Apex and Ruthnaan became separate entities.

Angels are under Ruthnaan’s control and demons under Apex, though Ruthnaan was never able to fully contribute his full attention to angels, hence why he made lesser deities to rule over them instead.
Apex actually isn’t as involved in other worlds/galaxies compared to his brother, preferring to keep his attention on demons and meddling with mortal lives than anything else, though he does still cause cosmic amounts of damage to other life forms, keeping a balance of sorts.

While he is still evil by every sense of the word, it’s more out of spite toward Ruthnaan and his own creations. Apex is still Abaddon’s mentor, though is far more involved in his and, now, even Phantom’s life. He also takes on a more Anti-god role instead of just a “Big bad demon”.
