For Christmas this year, Mona managed to convince Blaire to let her use the back room at Forbidden Arts to host a small Secret Santa party with a group of her friends. Considering what she had done to Mona and her friends the previous year, Blaire felt a little like she owed them-- and besides, it might be good for business. After all the guests had arrived, Blaire pulled Mona aside at the door momentarily.
"By the way, Mona," she said to her magic apprentice, handing her a small hinged wooden box. "Before you get started... I wanted to give you my present. Merry Christmas."
"Oh, thanks, Blaire!" replied Mona, surprised by the gesture. "What is it?"
Blaire smiled. "It's a single Christmas wish. Anything you want. When you're ready, just open the box and speak your wish to make it a reality. But make sure you're really specific with your wording-- you know how easily wishes can be misinterpreted."
"Aww, that's really nice of you, Blaire," said Mona, eyeing the box. "Well, I know you've been telling me about the perks of having a familiar for my witchcraft training... I'd really love to get a cat. But... I'd feel kind of selfish, just wishing for something for me, while all my friends are in here. Is there any way I could share the wish with them?"
Blaire felt herself welling up with admiration for her apprentice's generosity. "You're such a thoughtful person, Mona-- always thinking of others. It's one of the things I really love most about you, and why I think you'll be a good witch someday. As for your question... Sure, I don't see why you couldn't share the wish. Just ask for all of you to get something."
Mona nodded, and lifted the lid of the box. "In that case... I wish that each of my friends and I could get what we want most in our Secret Santa gift exchange!"
There was a small flash of light as the box vanished from Mona's hands, and the magic inside was spent. When Blaire looked back, Mona and all of her guests had been transformed into gifts for each other, scattered about the floor of the room, and resting motionless on chairs where they had been seated.
"Oops," said Blaire, surveying the extent of the mishap and wondering how reversible it might be. "Well, shoot. I guess I'd better go get my spellbook..."

Merry Christmas, everyone! For my project this year, I asked a bunch of my friends what their characters would want, if given the option to pick a Christmas present. Then I added a little twist, so that each of them would be TFed into something for someone else on the list; that way, everyone legitimately does get the gift they wanted, just... at the personal cost of not getting to enjoy using it. X3
So here's the list:
- Erica is a jigsaw puzzle for Thea
- Thea is a video game controller for Erica
- Maddy is a mug/dog bowl set for Pawsetto
- Irish is a cat for me
- Eva is a collar for Irish
- Circine is a new spellbook for Vanessa
- Iris is a poffin case for Shade
- Vanessa is a new tablet for Dott
- Pawsetto is a plushie for Eva
- Shade is a new beret for Maddy
- Dott is a pair of boots for Circine
and
- I'm a lava lamp, just like Iris wanted!
