sweet art, im a math nerd so i disagree with you and if im correct for all the people that have no idea what danny is talking about:

A-D are coefficents (the number to be multiplied by x)
and the function of x can be factored or completing the sqaure or using the quadratic forumula to find the x intercepts and use previous information to find the function. Then u find the slope and axis of symetry and then draw the parabala.

Now you are utterly confused if you haven't taken algebra 2 or trig yet =P

What are the values for a, b, c, and d?

The value of "a" defines the ascent/descent of the graph, the square value of the "x" of "a" defines how many times the graph at max cuts/touches/would cross the X-axis and the whole rest defines where on the Y-axis the graph is located and with that how many times it truely cuts/touches the X-axis.

Hope thas correct, having to translate math formulas from german to english is about as much a pain as solving them :P
