I'm sure it does, but you/they are altering bone structure in the body. Reshaping who knows how many muscles and nerves, which each one having the potential of feeling like a truck has fallen on you/them. Then recoloring every single fiber of hair and/or fur or feather. Don't get me going on if clothing is involved. How one does all of that without screaming in pain is amazing.
