Hello everyone! Long time no post. I had a very hard month but I was still doodling away where I could.

For those who have been following me, will have seen that Lothar was previously an echidna, however,  Lotharhex wanted a change for a variety of reasons.

He hasn’t connected with this character in a long time, even before EN ended. And had previously wanted to change his species while EN was still running; however, the webcomic ended before this had taken place. He has not used the character in anything since then. Now that I’m considering using this character in my own project and he is excited about it, this is why he had undergone a massive update.

However, there was still a problem. He was still not connecting with the character. At all. We have two chapters written, ready for editing and as we were spit balling for chapter 3 he noticed he was struggling with the chapter as it features Lothar heavily. It got to the point where we even considered cutting out the character all together because he was not really feeling the character anymore. That’s when he told me about how he was getting a full redesign before EN ended, including changing species.

When it came down to it, he wasn’t happy with what he had created. He created Lothar when he was approximately 15/16 and he did a Knuckles recolour for a sprite comic he did. Regardless of the outward redesigns, he always saw him as a Knuckles recolour and as he grew, he grew further away from this design. He liked the new backstory I came up with for the character and how I made him fit with his other characters, but he was just not connecting with Lothar’s design as an Echidna and it made it difficult for him to write for him. So, we decided to come up with something together. So now, he is a hyena. He is happy with the redesign and he is having a much easier time with the writing. Kept the name because he loves the name of course.

Ultimately, this was the best time to change any outward appearance of the characters we have because we have not started drawing the comics yet. And now we have something that he is genuinely and fully happy with. So, it’s a win-win!

Sexuality: Straight
Bad habits: Impatient/Acts first thinks later which can impact missions, crass (swears a lot), deflects feelings with sarcasm (Especially when he is feeling vulnerable)
Dislikes: To work in desert environments due to his bionic parts, dislikes being liked to, feeling vulnerable, seafood
Job: Mercenary


That's all for now. Once I finish the other character sheets I will be doing little "scenes" of the chapters me and  lotharhex written and we and a friend helped edit and once I finished all my extra work for the pantomimes I will start doing the comic. I'm excited :)
