This is a commission for 
nxgnetwork featuring his OCs, Cheyenne Lebeau and Raine Torsson (left to right).
It's a costume party down at the Starlight Skates roller rink and Raine and Chey have decided to go as their favourite RWBY characters, Ruby and Weiss. Crossdressing aside, these boys are drawing more than a little attention with their dance moves as they gracefully show off their blading skills ^_^
This was a deceptively challenging commission to tackle! The pose and energy of the picture was the main focus and it needed to be just right, but I was having real trouble trying to visualise everything. The last thing I wanted from this picture was for it to feel flat and lifeless, and so to try and help me plot out the angles and character interaction, I built a physical reference with posable figures to solidify the idea. And I'm glad I went to the trouble of doing so, because once I could see it physically in front of my eyes, the pieces all started falling into place. It took a lot of work, a lot of reference material, and one or two horrifically timed computer crashes, but I am very proud of the end result!
