And now another classic Videogame tune that should be worth mentioning.
The 2nd Background Music piece from one of my SNES alltime favorites Mario Paint!!!

"In case you didn't know, this is the second background music in Mario Paint; it is the one labeled with the three cymbal-playing monkeys."
Like with the theme from Yoshis island, i did a complete MIDI instrument re-arrangement, allowing each piece to shine on again :)
Hope ya like it.

hehe thankies ^^
I must say my favorite was always the third one because it did sound so much cosmical. That one made me draw scenes like a black sky with stars, a meteor, a half-eclipsed moon and a neat meadow with 2 people on it. And also a house on a hill, that could make you think of Maniac Mansion.
I also liked the silent soundtrack where you could hear someone sneezing after a while. Maybe i should re-arrange THAT silent soundtrack sometimes

Haha the sneezing comes very randomly. When i heard it the first time it scared the crap out of me because i didn't expect that.... and because the TV set volume was turned up ^^
Yeah, the mario sprites were awesome. You could make him walk because of the two pair of lower body parts with the legs

I thought it was because Nintendo hasn't had
any original ideas in forever, but that's just my
opinion. The classics are amazing, the newer
stuff they've been putting out, not so much...
I was a hardcore Nintendo fan back in the day,
but after the end of the SNES, I've been less
and less impressed with Nintendo, with each
newer console. Their handhelds are nice, but
I don't like buying one and then have to
"upgrade" it six more times before the next
one comes out.
I almost wish Nintendo would go the way of
Sega, and just make games for other consoles,
and focus on the DS handheld.
But anyways, I'm rambling... ^__^

Nintendo has went down hill.... The new Wii u and the 3Ds really put me off. They are not very backwards compatible and it's as if they don't care anymore. They want to make more and more systems forcing people up upgrade. It still annoys me to this day that the DS lost the it's 'extra' slot that allowed Advanced games to be played.
Yeah. Like, a new handheld comes out, then a
few months later, they have a new "upgraded"
system to buy, and once you get that one, then
a few months later, they come out with a pocket
sized one, and after that, an extra large version,
and then one with new features, and then one
with more useless features and fewer useful ones,
like the GBA slot, and once you settle into whatever
version you have, they come out with the next "new"
handheld system (going from DS to 3DS), and it's
all kinds of ridiculous.

so true!! I was stupid enough back then to buy the Game Boy Advance... which seriously lacked the backlight for the display.. which the later Game Boy Advance SP had. That taught me a lesson and seeing all the new hardware recisions of the DS (which i wanted too) completely killed my trust in Nintendo once and for all. The N64 was their last great console, overall weaker than the SNES. The Gamecube was boring and the Wii don't even have the slightest glimp of the original Nintendo spirit anymore. And the Wii U is just the same shit, repackaged and with some minor upgrades.. I think Nintendo has lost the trail. There is no passion anymore. And they even still insist on Region codes for their games, a very nasty bad habbit they have never overcome and what pissed me off back then already while playing on the SNES.
It's quite ironic.. Nintendo does the same what Sega did back then. Revisiting the same hardware again and again. Just think of the different versions of the Master System, the converters for the Mega Drive, the Mega Drive itself & the Mega CD.

Exactly... All the games they've been putting out are all the
same thing ad nauseam. It's all Mario, Zelda, Mario, Zelda,
crossovers, spin-offs, party games, Mario plays tennis,
Link cures his color blindness, Mario plays doctor, Link
discovers the joy of pants, over and over and over
again. When Nintendo Power says that one of the newer
Mario games "stays true to form", I laugh, because they've
never strayed away from their original form. It's the same
exact thing, sometimes the same exact game, only in 3D,
and then in -REAL- 3D... Their main hook is kids who have
never played these games for 25 years, so it's all new to
them. There are some hardcore Nintendo fanboys out there
who are utterly blind to the fact that there are so many more
games out there, on other systems, but they cling to dear
life, onto the old franchises.
From the N64 on, their controller designs got worse and
worse. I can barely even play the Wii because the stupid
remote kills my wrists (carpal tunnel) more than a standard
game pad. I started to notice the slide downhill when the
N64 came out. At first, I was totally envious, because I couldn't
get it right away, and I saw all the cool pictures in gaming
magazines. But once I got it, I realized hat all the games
kind of looked the same from one to the other. They were all
3D and had little graphical variety. The original Playstation
had 3D games, but also had 2D titles, like Castlevania: SOTN.
After a while, I realized the N64 didn't really have all that
many games I wanted. The Game Cube had even fewer
games that interested me, and then the Wii, even fewer
than that. The DS has a pretty good library, but no one ever
hears about most of the games.

Oh, yes... I remember this well. I spent many hours piecing together
my old "A Link to Death Saga" where I had a Yoshi knight, fighting a
horde of sword wielding Koopas and eventually burning down the castle.
At the end, the badly injured Yoshi would shuffle away off into the sunset...
Good times, good times. I still have it all on VHS, lol. Though, it didn't
record well, since I had to hold the pause for so long, I couldn't animate
each scene fast enough, to piece it together smoothly. :P
