Around late 2005 I thought I could "Retire" early and draw up my "Great American Illustrated Novel," and I spent more than a year wasting my time and most of my fortune staring at a blank sheet of paper. It seems the only times I get really creative is at the environment Conventions offer.
Yeah, it's funny how inspiration works in phases. I've got a whole drawer full of ideas I wrote in the span of one month, when I didn't actually get anything "finished" at all.
The nice thing, of course, is that digging through old material gives you ample opportunity to edit it. Crappy old comics can be quite good after a simple facelift. ;)
