Unlike many other members of the Resistance, River is not even a citizen of Garlen. A member of a small tribe living in the river delta on the kingdom's border, she is a carefree wild child, who mostly cared about fishing, surfing, and just generally kicking back and having fun. Until the Usurper's forces took over their home to build a military port where their peaceful harbour once was. That was really cramping their groove, so River the Otter found herself amidst the Resistance fighters. While their fighting often takes them far away from waters to surf on, she managed to quickly master a maglev board to aid in her peculiar fighting style. Surfing on thin air? Far out, man!
