If I remember right we first saw the wolf in the opening scene where he's rather muscular and intimidating but though he kept trying to catch Arthur through the movie he never succeeded, just kept getting into all kinds of mishaps and ending up rather thin and scrawny. I don't know if Arthur ever even noticed him. Another villainous wolf but one you'd have some sympathy for, though I think he survived just ended up stuck in the log.

For this anthro version of him, I imagine he kept going after Arthur and finally got noticed and gotten caught so he's been thrown in the dungeon. He is at least getting some regular meals and maybe will be a few weeks of jail time but that Arthur will show him mercy and grant him a pardon, though on the understanding it's a one time deal. I'd imagine the wolf after everything he's been through might be grateful and be a loyal citizen from then on.

Scrawny though he is, he's rather charming and certainly looks like he could do with a good hug and maybe being scratched under the chin.

With him being an anthro here, I imagine he'd probably have been a bandit whom had targeted Wart, so maybe after he's served his brief prison term and been shown mercy he could be a huntsman for Arthur. He did show determination and he might get adept with it over time and in any case he'll at least be assured of regular meals.

Though he might have reformed, the wolf might still have not entirely lost some of his old ways particularly remembering when he'd been scrawny and starving. He might have had a habit of stealing meat from the kitchen or even off the plates, leading perhaps to the occasional night in the dungeon when he'd managed to get himself caught.

I haven't watched The Sword in the Sword in kinda along time there so I forgot this guy was in here in the movie.

With the way you did him there, he looks like could come from another Disney cartoon.

One that's maybe populated by walking talking cartoony animals or something. Nice work on him there.

I can now picture a whole story of him starting a thief kind of guy, getting into troubles, thrown into dungeon, this time for a crime though he did not do and escaping to try to find out who double crossed him and pardoned . Hm. may be a nice idea XD maybe even ending up tied up often till one guard says: I've got a feeling you are into this!" In the end maybe helping to uncover a conspiracy and be pardoned. just to get into troubles right away at the end again with a certain guard right on his heels to catch him again XD (yeah. this is happening to me sometimes)
maybe the guard a female with the hint of a love/hate relationship starting

Damn, now having this stuck on my mind. Him beign the theif that got tricked to be the distraction for a bigger crime. Escaping to get revenge as right now he might loose his head.
the female guard who is always on his heels. sometimes workign a bit together but then again her just trying to catch him. ) maybe a mountain lion girl?

The wolf in that film was less of a villain and more a starving animal just tying to eat.

That´s why I allways felt sorry for him^^
