A Pirate of Pythonic Proportions! by WhiteMantis
Arr! Artings by the grand cap'n: Sheba Windstorm (or rather, by that curious cabin girl artist the captain keeps on hand for such sketchery,
WhiteMantis)! Go give her piles of praise!
Bein' that September 19th has once again sang its siren song and seduced susceptible sailors onto the path of the pirate once more, I surmised that it was prime time to post this pretty piece o' python pictorial.
Enjoy, you scurvy, salty, scaly lubbers! Q:}===< (That 'Q' is my pirate bandanna, clearly.)

Well, if I was the captain, that might have been the policy from the beginning (but maybe with more variety in the end forms than you just implied).. but, as far as I know, the way Sheba runs things is that she doesn't let just anyone join, and when someone is chosen, it's because they already have a form that's worth-while, or some other skills/assets to bring to the crew.
That being said, now that Cap'n Windstorm has me on board, she COULD do such scurvy bargains, with me providing potions for said shapeshifting recruitment.

Interesting little mini-story setting idea you have there, Kupok. Nice names for the crews, too. And the fact that they're pirate companies, possibly spanning a number of ships, even whole fleets(!), speaks of a grand scale that is well appreciated.
But really, I'm just a mid-level midship(snake)man on Sheba's vessel, 'The Maiden of the Waves'! Not that I couldn't lead the Windcrushers! :}===<
Thanks for the fave, but don't leave Cap'n Sheba out! :>

You're right about settings coming easily. Ideas are easy, having the motivation and drive to explore them fully and write them out is hard. :|
And oh, I don't know, my focus doesn't come THAT easily. As Strong Bad once said: "My focus is a bit.. croakus".
Sorry to hear you haven't been able to in a while. I get like that sometimes. Hopefully something will inspire you sooner rather than later. :}

If you must, but I don't really think of myself as a butt pirate. I guess you're not wholly wrong, though. :P
Nevertheless, thanks for the fave! Just don't leave
Sheba-Windstorm out of the love, give her some praise as well. :>

I went to see what you might have said on Sheba's posting of this picture, and I was momentarily confused, since it seemed like I was back on my own page, reading the same comment again! But I suppose it's the same picture, so the same comment a second time is appropriate. *smirks*
Thanks for the fave, though, and doubly so for going to the original posting and giving credit where it's due. :}===<

Yep, the comments might be the same, but it's the replies that make a conversation; so that's why it'll be different anyway. Besides, there is just a small chance she'll reply to my comment since she's getting loads of them!
And no problem for the favourites. We've had a slight problem about that before so I'm making sure I'll fave both the versions!

Isn't 'to be cut down in battle' just mean dead anyway?
But as for wooden prosthetics, I could add a wooden tailtip, if need be! Maybe affix a sword there, too! You have to look at the possible upsides! :}
The more I think about it, I think the wooden leg thing with pirates was more that they had infections that necessitated the amputation of the limb, lest the infection spread! Less chopping off of limbs by other pirates in battle. Then again... cannons. >_>

Not boarded, eh? Oh really! I would think you'd love to be boarded by that particular pirate. Or at least a bunch of random seamen. :P
What does the fact that I like alliteration have to do with porn dealing with pythons?
Anyway, thanks for the kind words. Be sure to tell Sheba some of those, too. :>

You're a wrastle, eh? :P
And I'm too intelligent to take such a strong saurian on. *dodges to one side, easily. Thanks to his serpentine body, he can swing his torso around swiftly. Said dodge leaves Xanthus lunging over the edge of the ship and into the water.. into the waiting hands and fins belonging to a pair of pleasing sharkmen, who, instead of fighting with the red and black dragon, seduce and subdue him, with their watery wiles.*
Now, isn't that better? *he asks, although he knows the dragon is too distracted with the sleek sea-dwellers to hear him*

I think you might be mixing your metaphors.. or at least your fictional settings, a bit.
Cute poem, all the same. Thank you very much for writing it. Also, thanks for the fave, but don't forget to give
Sheba-Windstorm some praise. I think you should copy-paste that poem over onto her submission, too. :}

Thanks! I'm glad you like it, although I didn't draw this,
Sheba-Windstorm did! But it IS my character, of course. Well, my character if I lived in her fictional, pirate-filled setting, and was on her crew.

Said Alaskan shark would probably meet up with these two sharks in the waters near the ship, first.
Nice :}
