It was a sunny day in the kingdom of the humans. The sun was out. The sky was clear. And everyone was busy at work. Kids went to school. Parents gathered supplies. And soldiers trained in case of attacks.

Relationships with the neighboring animal kingdom were not great at the moment. Ten years ago a wall was erected, separating the two kingdoms and its citizens. The higher ups are trying to work things out right now, but for now, only those in the army are allowed to the other kingdom.

As for me, I’m a simple citizen. I live on my own as my parents are higher ups in a different borough. But our relationship is fine. I’m currently in the forest, walking along the wall, searching for wood for the fireplace.

Meanwhile, bounding from tree to tree, was an anthro panther. He was quite fit and wore only black shorts and an open black vest. On his back he carried a small bow and arrow. He wasn’t a soldier. But rather what some may consider an outcast of the animal kingdom. He lived on his own. And did his own thing. Although not assigned, he kept lookout for the kingdom.


He stopped at a tree.


“Hmmm”.


A gurgling noise came from his stomach.


He was hungry.


After a brief pause examining his surroundings, the panther, without a word, continued to bound through the trees in search for food.






……….






“Hmph. A human.”



After a while of searching, the panther had eventually found where a human was.


The black feline was on a tree branch overlooking the dividing wall. On the other side was the human, picking up some wood that had fallen from the trees. The panther only observed the human….






























Until he made his move































I had just about finished collecting my wood when I heard a rustle in the trees.



I felt a presence behind me.



I slowly turned by head.



There before me was a panther. It was huge! It’s eyes never left me as I fully turned around. I didn’t know what to do. I was a bit frozen in fear due to its shear size. It was standing on two legs so it was an….ummm….anthro…I think they’re called.



It slowly starting moving towards me.


All I could do was look up as it towered over me. Until it finally reached me.



It slowly bent down and picked me up. I safely fit in it’s huge…uh…hand?….paw? It was soft. As much another three or four humans could probably fit on it.



My heart was racing as it lifted me up.



I soon find myself face to face with it. It seemed to be examining me. A serious expression on its face.


I only sat there in it’s open paw waiting to see what it would do next.



Only seconds later, I was met with an open maw slowly getting closer as the panther brought me towards it. I couldn’t do anything. I was stuck on the paw. I would walk many feet if I tried jumping off.


It softly pushed me onto its tongue and closed its maw, preventing me from any way of escape.

The tongue moved me around the expansive maw, taking in my….taste…if I even have one.



“Mmmmm”



This human…tastes….good…



The tongue continued to push me around until I reached the back of the throat. It didn’t take much for me to see figure out what was happening. Neither did it for the panther to swallow me.



*glrk*





Down I went. Into the depths of the panther. The walls massaging me as I made my way down.


I reached the entrance of the stomach. and with a little wiggle, was completely inside the warm, squishy room. A dim light lit up my surroundings, allowing me to see not stomachs acids, but rather saliva.


I was breathing a little heavily but for the most part was still in shock. Am I….going to die? Suddenly my surroundings tighten up a bit before a noise fills my ears. The panther let out a small burp.


*buUarp*



…………



“….excuse me”.



The panther then bounded back into the trees, seemingly back to normal height. He crossed back a ways onto the animal kingdom side of the wall before sitting on a tree branch.


“….Human”



It’s voice wasn’t to deep but still masculine.



From behind the stomach wall, I could make out what the panther was saying.


“…u-um. Yeah?”



“Hmph. My name is Cole. Do not worry I won’t harm you. I can control my insides. I was just looking for some food. You will be safely let out later….”



Having heard the panthers words, I started to calm down a bit.



“O-okay. Thank you si-I mean, Cole”.



The panther nodded and set off about his day.


Whenever the panther was out of sight from fellow citizens of the kingdom, he and the human had some small talk. It was admittedly awkward a first, with the panther not being much of the talking type and the human not being the greatest at conversing, but eventually they were able to converse. The human introduced himself as Blue, like the color.


They both talked about the current situation between the two kingdoms. Both of them don’t really have anything against the other but rather wished they could live in peace in the future.



Eventually, the end of the day drew near. The sun was setting and the sky was painted over with beautiful colors.


Cole made his way over across the wall and brought the human up to his maw. As Blue made his way out the maw, Cole took in as much flavor of the little human as he could. Blue didn’t really notice anything.


The two said there goodbyes, not knowing if they would see each other again.


The human watched as the panther made his up the trees and into the forest, out of sight.



I gathered the wood I had dropped earlier and made my way home. Can’t say I expected to be eaten by a panther today. It was…kind of nice when I think about it.


I took a shower and made my way over to my bed, soon falling asleep under the starry night sky.






























*the next day*






























I was outside in the forest near the wall again, collecting some more wood for the day. I must’ve been pretty focused on getting the wood because before I could realize it, I was being lifted up. Seconds later, I felt something warm squishy wash over me. I was turned around and was face to face with a familiar panther.



It was Cole. And the squishy thing was his tongue. He’d licked me.



“Oh. H-hello Cole”.



The panther kept quiet and stared.



Before I could process what happened next, I found myself inside the panther’s maw and already heading to the back of the throat. With an effortless swallow, I was sent down into the depths of the wild cat. Soon, I was back in the stomach, sitting near a stomach wall.







…………







There was silence.







…………







Until….







…………







“I- er-“ *siiigh* “S-sorry for eating you so suddenly, Blue. I-“


He paused.


“….have taken a liking to ur taste…”



There was a hint of embarrassment in the the panther’s voice.



He let out a breath.



I was a bit confused on how to respond. I had never been complimented for my uh- taste before.


“O-oh. It’s okay Cole. I-it is rather comfy in here.”





……….





“D- would u mind if….I could eat you again…in the future?”



I paused for a bit.


“S-sure Cole”.



On the inside, Cole was relieved. He let out a short sight. Even though he didn’t show it, he liked the idea of having a little human friend.



“Thank you, Blue. I promise I’ll never hurt you”.
