Another update/concept!

Zane is Max’s clone, a copy that was created by the militia once Max originally escaped years ago using a portion of his DNA along with additional lines of coding to ensure no betrayal or escape. Zane carried out orders for them up until he had found Max during one of his missions and everything went downhill from there. He questioned his own identity, his existence, it all drove him mad. The scientists tried to stop him but it was impossible due to all of the enhancements they had given him and he would proceed to destroy the base and escape, ending their take on the land forever. Zane would spend the next few years, tailing and spying on Max, watching him closely and learning with time. After awhile, he finally approached Max and believed his existence to be a threat to his own and aimed to end him and claim Max’s name, existence, and identity entirely. But he failed. Beaten time and time again, Max would continue to call his double’s movements and attacks to be zany and wild-like, which would give form to his name. Zane.

Zane continued his random attacks on Max and his friends, even going so far as to get his own scarf of red and white to be different from Max. Max would disappear shortly after and where he had once found a rival, he had nothing. Zane went absolutely mad and rampaged the land for years out of pure spite and loneliness, his emotions going wild. For 6 years, his loneliness turned to anger, then it turned to poison, then that poisoned turned to hate. His hate for everything was so strong that his left arm became overencumbered with negative aura and can cause long-lasting and damaging effects upon contact. Thus, he keeps it under wraps.

Max would awaken in a bright flash of light, after 6 whole years, and Zane could feel it in his very core, his rival lives. He was still on edge from his years of loneliness and still has not met Max as he is now.
